In 2012 Professor Paul Krugman came to the House of Lords and argued that the government's economic strategy was fundamentally misconceived. Three years on, with recovery under way, a panel of distinguished UK economists revisits this debate.

Speakers at the event include:

  • Jonathan Portes (Director, National Institute of Economic and Social Research)
  • Simon Wren-Lewis (Professor of Economics, Oxford University)
  • Roger Bootle (Managing Director, Capital Economics)
  • Douglas McWilliams (Executive Chairman, Centre for Economics and Business Research)

The event will be chaired by Stephanie Flanders (JP Morgan Asset Management).

Please note that the event is taking place at Portcullis House in the Boothroyd Room, and therefore you should plan to arrive early in order to pass through security with sufficient time.

Places are limited, therefore to ensure attendance please RSVP as soon as possible to Brooke Hollingshead:
