In this Governor Talk John Pullinger will present the work of the Electoral Commission and his role as its chair. The Electoral Commission is an independent body that oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. With the upcoming General Election, it is now more important than ever to understand how the commission ensures the integrity and transparency of the electoral process, safeguarding against electoral fraud and providing guidance on political campaign financing.

Before assuming his role as Chair of the Electoral Commission in 2021, John Pullinger served as the UK National Statistician,  the Head of the Government Statistical Service, and the Chief Executive of the UK Statistics Authority.
